Jackson Ellis has written a book that is part historic, part environmental, part familial and always compelling. Ellis draws us deep into the lives of the Lord family as they face the loss of their home, their community their way of life and even themselves to the rising waters of Lake Mead. We the reader are drawn in along with the family as they wrestle with their decision to leave of stay while fighting to survive.
