Artist Billye Silvester featured at The Lost City Museum

Overton, Nevada- Artist Wilma Silvester was born in Elko Nevada in 1948. She later moved to Utah where she attended school. She began later spending the winters again in Nevada. Wilma began volunteering at many local state parks where she later offered a class in pottery making hosted by a Native American potter. As a descendant of a Shoshone, this sparked Wilma’s love for the arts and sparked an interest in working with clay.

When not volunteering or creating art, Wilma enjoys exploring the national and state parks throughout Nevada and Utah.  On creating pottery Wilma says “As you work with clay, the great masters say it speaks to you and tells you what it would like to be” Wilma Silvester’s show will take place in March at The Lost City Museum.
